2000 v6 Mustang Help Please!?

I have a 2000 v6 mustang. I bought the car and the remote to lock/unlock the doors is broken and the key does not work in the keyhole because someone tried to steal it. I was just wondering if a keyhole from a 1998 mustang would work in a 2000.
