Did scientists make the earthquake happen to try and move the planet to avoid asteroid Apophis?

Any opinion on this being organized effort by scientists to try and avoid a collision with the asteroid apophis, which will be visible 2013 and make a pass in 2029. if it passes within the keyhole in 2029 it could collide in 2036. so was this done on purpose to try and prevent that.
